I'm Jess, 26, insanely busy. I've lost 32 pounds in 5 months and I'm trying to continue to make weight loss work on my schedule, with clean/paleo eating and working out. I will run a 5k. I will have insane upper body strength. I will get a big, round booty! Ask me anything. I'm happy to give advice about law school or what being a lawyer is like, if you're considering it. My blog is a mix of lots of my own posts (recipes, pics, personal stuff), healthy food, workouts, yoga and inspiration! I don't reblog bodies. I follow back!

Back!

Okay…I am back on the weight loss bandwagon! Looking at my tumblr again…I can’t believe I worked so hard and then let myself gain some of it back!

Food diary:

banana, cashew larabar, coffee with cream (N)

oaxaca box at kupfert and kim: brown rice, black beans, corn, pico de gallo, guac, kale, beets, daikon, cashew cream and hot sauce (Y)

why: because everybody loves and deserves to be happy but sometimes we just forget this. let’s try to be a little bit happier than usual in the next couple of days. aaand chrismas is also near so why not? you can submit your happy experience or post it on your blog. i’m tracking #happierme.
how: you can start anytime it’s up to you. i personally begin the love tomorrow (25th Nov) and will post everyday the detailed version of the daily challenge and of course I’ll update this post with links.
when: 8 am AEST, everyday from 25th November (which is previous day 9pm GMT and 10pm CET and 2pm PST… and ….)
what: the challenge is 21 day long bacause research shows that 21 day is enough to create a habit so yay! the love is divided into 3 weeks with similar tasks on same days.
who: this challenge was/is made by me and it’s a result of several research-filled internet hours - some of the tasks were collected or inpired by the internet and i’m not a professional happymaker just a simple girl with simple wishes. (sparkling sparkling)

structure:
mantra monday. on mantra monday you are asked to tell yourself a mantra minimum 9 times a day. for example the mantra for the first day is

I’m letting today [ your name ] to be [your name ] .

onboard tuesday. make a themed board (wallpaper)
vision wednesday. on vision wednesday your task is to imagine yourself as… 
picture thursday. on every picture thursday you are asked to make a picture of anything that captured your attention or just made you smile or…
funny-fluffy friday. friday is for fun.;)
love saturday. saturday-tasks are related to important people in your life.
gratitude sunday. make a conclusion list. write down what happened what made you happy and why you are grateful for.

Lets get a few things very clear

liltedlullaby:

  • Carbs do not make you fat.
  • Nothing in moderation makes a difference to how your body looks.
  • It’s ok to treat yourself!
  • Your body can handle extra calories relatively frequently.
  • Water has no calories.
  • Sugar is not the devil.
  • Pasta is not the devil.
  • No food in the world is the devil because food is essential to everything in the world ever.

And don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.
Including the little voice in your head. 

This has lots of notes and I can see how it would be valuable to children… But for adults who realize they are here, unhappy with their unhealthy bodies, because their cupcake moderation made a difference in their looks, and their body couldn’t actually handle extra calories in a regular basis without turning them into fat… This post is an insult to the tough work it takes an adult to lose weight.

The Ab’s Ilicious Challenge : 30 days for working your abs ! 
Before everything : don’t forget that abs are revealed in the kitchen. You can have strong but “invisible” abs. For having best results ever : workout + healthy meals. ;)
This challenge is not complicated, not that hard, and won’t take you more than 10 mns everyday. Watch videos before starting, and do each exercise well. Quality is better than quantity. :)
Note : numbers you see beside letters mean “1 movement”. 1 movement = 1 on the left side + 1 on the right side. Example : “a : 10” = 10 movements on the left + 10 movements on the right.
